Drupa 2004 Sells All 17 Halls
- Published: April 11, 2003, By PRESS RELEASE
CHICAGO, IL, USA—Messe Düsseldorf North America (MDNA) reports that all 17 halls for Drupa 2004 are already sold out—more than a year before the start of the print media trade fair. Slated for May 6-19, 2004, at the Düsseldorf, Germany, fairgrounds, Drupa's 17 halls include more than 1.7 million sq ft of net exhibit space, and organizers expect more than 1,800 companies to display their products to more than 370,000 visitors, adds MDNA.
According to Horst Klosterkemper, managing director of Messe Düsseldorf, this result "shows the global printing and communications sectors' clear vote for drupa in Düsseldorf during the difficult economic situation." He adds, "Drupa was, is, and will continue to be the world's number one trade fair for print media, publishing, and converting."
Drupa 2004 will revisit a special highlight that was part of the two-week trade fair in 2000: Hall 6 will house Print City, a "strategic alliance of companies within the graphic arts industry headed by MAN Roland and Agfa." In addition, Heidelberg and cooperating partners will showcase their equipment in Halls 1 and 2, while Halls 15 and 16 will be the exhibit location for Koenig and Bauer, Komori, and Mitsubishi. "After its successful debut at drupa 2000, the used machinery exchange section will again be featured in the pavilion between Hall 1 and the Congress Center South," adds MDNA.
