Mark Andy Performance Series Breaks Into China

ST. LOUIS, MO | Mark Andy, a market leader in narrow-web printing press solutions, has announced two Performance Series machine sales in India, signaling early acceptance, says the company, of the new press line in this growing region. Both machines are scheduled for installation in early 2011.

Barcom Industries, a leading producer of pressure-sensitive labels, stickers and tags based out of Maharashtra, purchased the first Performance Series P5 to be installed in the country. The converter has invested in an eight-color, 13-in. wide machine, complete with a rail system, web turnbar and cold foil unit.

Astron Packaging has also invested in a Performance Series P5. The company is a leading supplier of corrugated boxes and self-adhesive labels. The 10-in., eight-color press will add to the broad printing and converting capabilities already in place at Astron. The press is outfitted with such options as chilled impression rolls, a rail system to house a web turnbar, cold foil unit and a rotary screen head, and a rotary hot foil stamp unit.
