ST. PAUL, MN | H.B. Fuller Co. held a Focus Forward Flexible Packaging Symposium September 22 at its St. Paul headquarters. Fifty flexible packaging converters attended the symposium, which included two demonstrations of a new 52-in. wide Nordmeccanica Super Combi 3000 laminator, installed at H.B. Fuller's Research, Development & Technical Service Ctr. in March. The laminator runs film at 1,350 fpm and handles a variety of laminating adhesives including solvent, water-based, and solventless.
Representatives from Nordmeccanica collaborated with H.B. Fuller technicians at the symposium to demonstrate the laminator's versatility. The symposium also offered converters valuable insight and advice from some of the largest packaged goods manufacturers in the world. End-user panelists presented overviews of their company's challenges and future vision in flexible packaging, followed by a question and answer session with converters in the audience.
