WebHandlersQuiz 15: Wrinkling – If a roller is deflecting into a bowed shape due to gravity, which direction is it best NOT to approach that roller if you don’t want to wrinkle: vertically from above, vertically from below, or horizontally?

A bowed roller will tend to gather and wrinkle the web if the bow points towards the entering span. Therefore, a web approaching a roller vertically from below that is deflecting due to gravity is NOT the best approach.
