  • International Paper, Memphis, TN, will invest about $10 million to convert its mill in Bastrop, LA, to 100% market and fluff pulp production. Equipment upgrades are expected to be completed by the fall of 2008. The mill will cease production of uncoated freesheet as well as other specialty papers.

  • Dow Chemical Co., Midland, MI, and its affiliates announce off-schedule price increases for acrylic acid and esters, effective globally April 1, or as otherwise allowed by individual contract terms.

  • Bobst Group North America, Roseland, NJ, reports that InTouch direct customer connection now is available to customers in Canada. The service allows customers to check parts availability, receive instant pricing, order parts, and track parts orders 24/7.

  • Dynagram, Quebec City, QC, Canada, announces an OEM distribution agreement with HighWater Designs, Cheltenham, England, a provider of violet metal CtP solutions. Under the terms, HighWater will offer Dynagram's inpO2 imposition products along with Highwater's family of CtP solutions.
