Software Increases Efficiencies for Boehmer Box

VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA | Solarsoft Business Systems, a developer of software for the global paperboard packaging industry, has installed at Boehmer Box, Kitchener, ON, a new Integrated Request for Quotation software module that allows the company to increase efficiencies for the quotation request process and add greater functionality to its business software system.

The software module is said to reduce the time from initial customer inquiry to final quotation, replacing traditional communication methods of phone and fax, and Web-based inquiry forms. The system allows internal sales and customer service personnel to pecify customer requirements online to speed up the quotation and estimating process.

Senior estimator Peter Kropf at Boehmer Box explains, “We have significantly reduced our quote and estimating turn-around times with the new Integrated Request for Quotation module. The software is wizard-driven, and entering the needed information is very easy and quick. Once all correct information is captured within the system, the information flows automatically to our Accelerate business system. We don’t have to re-key any information, and have been able to standardize on the information that we collect for new estimates and quotes.

“We are now using the Integrated Request for Quotation”, Kropf continues, “for entering internal orders as well as for quote requests. The software works great to support our internal processes, and ensures that structural design and estimating departments have the information they need.”
