Entries Due as Judges Are Announced for 2009 IMDA Awards

SCOTTSDALE, AZ | The In-Mold Decorating Assn. has announced its panel of judges for the 2009 IMDA Awards Competition. They include Yolanda Simonsis, associate publisher/editor of Paper, Film & Foil CONVERTER (PFFC); Clare Goldsberry, senior editor of Modern Plastics Magazine and Injection Molding Magazine; and Pete Dinger, senior director Technology, Plastics Div., American Chemistry Council.

The 2009 Competition will recognize the industry’s best in-mold labeled packaging and in-mold decorated durable products. The winning entries are chosen based on creativity in design, engineering, and innovation in the following categories: Best Part Design, Best Thin Wall Packaging, Best Injection Mold Part, Best Blow Mold Part, Best IMD Durable Product, Best Label Design, and Best Product Family (common style or brand).

Entries must be received at IMDA by June 30, 2009. No entries will be accepted after that date. Award winners will be recognized at IMLCON09 and20IMDCON09, October 28-30, 2009, in Tempe, AZ, USA. The Award winners will be announced and published in several industry-related trade publications, including Package Design and Paper, Film & Foil CONVERTER (PFFC).
