AICC 2023 Annual Meeting

In the Heart of Bourbon City

AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, will welcome hundreds to Louisville, KY, September 18-20 for the 2023 Annual Meeting.

Over three days, attendees will experience the best of Louisville during a night at the Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs, Bourbon Distillery Tours, and lunch at the historic Farmington Plantation.

Attendees will be awed by the lineup of speakers bringing their expertise to the Meeting.

Stephanie Stuckey, CEO, Stuckey's Corp., will inform and empower attendees with her keynote presentation, Looking Back to Move Forward. Stuckey's, the roadside oasis famous for its pecan log rolls, was founded by Stephanie's grandfather, W.S. Stuckey, Sr., as a pecan stand in Eastman, GA in 1937 and grew to over 350 stores nationwide. The company was sold in 1964 but is now back in family hands and making a comeback. Stephanie will also present a two-day breakout session.

Tim Bergwall, Group President, Paper Packaging & Services, Greif, Inc. & President of Soterra Land Management LLC, another knowledgeable keynote speaker, will present The State of the Industry during the Focus Session. The economy and strategies to grow today are the other Focus Session topics that will be addressed by George Staphos, Managing Director, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Gene Marks, CPA, Author & Columnist, and Small Business Owner.

Participants will have a special lunch presentation with Tripp Crosby, the comedy filmmaker and entrepreneur behind the popular comedy sketch called "A Conference Call in Real Life" and leader of Very, Very Video, an agency that works with companies like Zoom, Snowflake, Monday.com, Coke, and Ford to increase their brand awareness.

The Way Forward: Mastering Life's Toughest Battles & Discovering Your Purpose is the message from closing keynote speaker Sergeant Dakota L. Meyer, Marine, Firefighter, and New York Times Best-Selling Author. His New York Times best-selling book, Into the Fire: A Firsthand Account of the Most Extraordinary Battle in the Afghan War, is an account of his actions during the Battle of Ganjigal, where three U.S. Marines, a U.S. Navy corpsman, and Afghan soldiers went missing in Afghanistan after being ambushed by 50 insurgents.

Meyer earned his Medal of Honor for his actions during this battle, which was part of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. He is the first living Marine to have received the medal since 1973 and one of the youngest.

Attendees will also be able to participate in three plant tours featuring Independent II, Premier Packaging, and Greif CorrChoice.

Boxplant specials are available and the Super Early Bird rate ends July 21.
