ICE USA – It’s All About Converting

You’re in the business of transformation. Streamlining processes. Building networks. Finishing products. Now is your time to turn challenges into opportunities. How do you prepare for what’s next?

For converting professionals at every level from every segment of the market, the answer is ICE USA. It’s the only exhibition dedicated exclusively to converting and processing web-based materials—a hands-on, equipment-heavy show that focuses on delivering the specific products, people, and technological developments you need to improve your operation. ICE USA will take place April 9-11, 2019 at the Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC) in Louisville, Kentucky.

Over 250 exhibitors and 3,000 attendees are expected to be at the event, where they will experience hands-on demonstrations, attend interactive education trainings, and connect with key exhibiting companies, industry experts and peers.

"ICE brings together the converting industry's leading manufacturers to demonstrate just how vital their machinery and ancillary products are to the packaging and labelling sectors," explains Matt Fyffe, General Manager at Meech International. "We have always seen ICE USA as a key event in our calendar and, this year, we're delighted to be presenting our leading products in web cleaning and static control, as well as our latest Industry 4.0 solution - the Hyperion™ SmartControl."

Exhibitors look forward to presenting new products and technology at the show. Nordson Corporation is one of those exhibitors who will showcase two of their cutting-edge technologies in their booth at ICE USA.

“At ICE USA, Nordson Corporation will be exhibiting two coating technologies that increase productivity while enhancing product quality, “stated Kelly Harings, Global Marketing Manager. “The Premier™ fluid coating die provides uniform application even at very high line speeds and very thin coat weights, and the accompanying die positioner ensures stability and repeatability from job to job. The EDI® EPC™ extrusion coating die increases the speed and repeatability of width adjustment changes and simplifies cleanout.”

Attendees can take advantage of numerous learning opportunities throughout the event. Sessions for every level and job function are available, including AIMCAL’s full-day Fundamentals, the ICE Technical Conference, and the Future of Converting Theater on the show floor, where experts will discuss the latest challenges facing the industry.

Keynote sessions will kick off each day of the show, presented by industry leaders in the Future of Converting Theater.  Gary Robinson, Principal Consultant at Synaptic Packaging, will kick things off on Tuesday with “Disruptive Innovations Advancing Sustainability in Packaging”.  Another hot topic, “Cannabis Packaging: Risks & Opportunities” will be presented on Thursday by Jim Chrzan of PMMI, who will discuss the ever-changing regulations and vast market potential available to packaging and converting professionals.

The AIMCAL Fundamentals are perfect for those that are new to the converting industry.  These full day training sessions take place the day before the show opens and registrants can choose between Coating & Drying or Slitting & Rewinding tracks.

Engineers and R&D professionals won’t want to miss the ICE Technical Conference where you will get the latest technology and product developments from the experts.  Sessions include “Continuous Splicing Techniques for Turret Unwinds”, “When Slitting Becomes an Added Value”, “Web Tension Control Fundamentals”, “Data Analytics for Roll-to-Roll Processes” and many more.  Check www.ice-x-usa.com for the full agenda and register for a one-day or three-day conference pass.

Make an appointment with one of the Experts in the ICE USA "Ask The Experts" pavilion to get your specific converting questions answered in a private setting.  These free 15-minute consultations are one of the most popular features of the show and fill up quickly so be sure to schedule your appointment in advance on the ICE USA website.

ICE USA will be co-located with InPrint USA, the exhibition of print technology for industrial manufacturing.  InPrint features leading brands of digital, inkjet, screen and specialty print technologies used in packaging, décor and functional applications. More converters are looking to incorporate digital and inkjet print in their processes to become a one-stop-shop. Having those print suppliers on the show floor, demonstrating their innovations and capabilities and discussing the opportunities of industrial print implementation gives converters an extra benefit for attending ICE USA.

After the show, visitors should make sure to take advantage of all Louisville has to offer.  Louisville is probably best known for its bourbon, so attendees should plan to go on the Urban Bourbon trail – a ‘pub crawl’ around the city for all the best bourbons.  Pick up the Urban Bourbon passport at the Louisville concierge desk at the show and get all the stamps!

Register before March 15 to save over 40% on your exhibit hall pass, which will give you access to ICE USA, co-located InPrint USA, and all presentations on the show floor in the Future of Converting Theater. Complete your registration and book your hotel room in the official block on our website. Solutions around every turn, only at ICE USA!
