MAN Roland Decentralizes to Serve Customers

WESTMONT, IL MAN Roland reports it is decentralizing its North American operations by granting more autonomy to regional centers in an initiative designed to get closer to customer needs.

Explains CEO Yves Rogivue, “We're giving each of our six field locations more leeway in how they meet their customers' needs. That will give our sales and technical experts more of an opportunity to do what they do best: Assess the challenges confronting each individual printer and develop a technology plan that will help the customer produce more efficiently and win more business.”

Emphasis will be placed on tailoring a PECOM Computer Integrated Mfg. (CIM) environment for individual small- and large-scale printing companies at each location.

The decentralization move will affect approximately 50 jobs, primarily in central operations, but also will create a number of new job opportunities, especially in the reinforced regions.

MAN Roland maintains regional sales and service offices in Los Angeles, CA; Atlanta, GA; Middlesex, GA; and Toronto, Ont., Canada. It serves the Midwest from headquarters in Westmont and runs web press technical project management from a facility in North Stonington, CT.
