Company offers the EVO-Print web press for labels and flexible packaging with a web width of 19 in. and a litho print range of 11–24 in. running at speeds to 850 fpm. The open-platform press also is available with flexo, gravure, rotary silk screen, and letterpress. PC control is said to offer a high degree of automation, reduced makereadies, job storage, and powerful on-board diagnostics.

All-Servo, All the Time

The FPC multi-substrate press is completely servo-driven and prints at speeds to 1,000 fpm. Features an in-line printhead design said to provide stability and high printing reproduction. Advanced sleeve technology is used on both the anilox rolls and plate cylinders. Each print station can be configured for reverse printing. Available in web widths of 16, 20, 24, 28, and 32 in., press can print substrates ranging from 60-ga film to 24-pt board.

Shrink-Label Film is Roll-Fed

Roll-fed shrink polyolefin label film shrinks to 40%. Reported benefits include 360-deg label look with virtually seamless appearance; lower cost per label; excellent printability with solvent-based, water-based, and UV inks by flexo and gravure processes; and clean separation of film from containers for recycling.

Label Software is Upgraded

VersaStyle 3.4 is an updated version of label-making software for use with Easyprint Thermal Transfer printers and coders. New features include USB hardlock; the ability to open files created in older versions; a “save as” feature that allows files to be saved in older formats; and improved OLE interface for use with custom programming.

Sheeted Label Materials Offered

Company now offers label materials in sheeted form, reportedly giving screen printers greater flexibility for meeting customer needs at a competitive price. Materials feature UV-approved topcoats, polyester and vinyl facestocks, and advanced adhesive technology.

Shrink-Label Film Joins Line

The Pentaprint line of shrink-label films now includes E749/22, a polyester film with multiple shrink characteristics for all full-body shrink-sleeve labels. Said to combine high shrink properties with little to no MD shrinkage and low shrink force to produce a finished label that remains uniform across the most highly contoured container, in particular the bottom portion of the container.
