A Speedy Solution
Label printer Freppel-Edac, headquartered in Cedex, France, recently took delivery of a Bobst SPeria Foilmaster for foiling and die-cutting. Freppel-Edac reports the purchase of the new machine was justified by the large markets it was unable to reach with a cylinder machine, which was capable of only 1,500 sheets/hr, while it needed to be foiling at 5,000 sheets/hr.

Freppel-Edac director Denis Maciuk says he made his choice from among European manufacturers, settling on the SPeria for its speed [as well as its] "capacity for die-cutting and stripping, in addition to foiling….The other machines could die-cut but were not in any way comparable to the SPeria Foilmaster."
