Mettler-Toledo Offers Label Serialization Stations

COLUMBUS, OH | Mettler-Toledo PCE reports the Label Serialization Stations (LSS) can be fully integrated into the production line for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry to print track-and-trace labels at a rate to 500/min. The LSS, which prints and verifies labels automatically, is also available as a compact tabletop solution.

The system combines a printing module with a high-resolution camera and an automatic reject system for faulty labels. A thermal transfer printer applies high-contrast ink to every label with outstanding precision, company says, and the durable, abrasion-resistant print image is ideal for serialization data.

Robust housing, which has a steel-tube frame, protects all components from dust and contamination and has two large doors to provide easy access for cleaning and maintenance work.

“Our new Label Serialization Station has been systematically designed to ensure durability and efficiency in operation,” explains Reinhold van Ackeren, head of marketing and product management. “The LSS enables manufacturers to achieve outstanding total cost of ownership values and benefit from shorter product changes and easier maintenance and cleaning on a daily basis.”
