McNeely Plastics Orders VAREX Blown Film Line from W&H

LINCOLN, RI | Mississippi-based McNeely Plastics of the Sigma Plastics Group has purchased another VAREX coextrusion line from Windmoeller & Hoelscher to increase the company's capacity and position itself for growth. The line is scheduled for shipment at the end of 2010.

The new high-output 3-layer VAREX line has a working width of 71-in., grooved feed extruders, and a Filmatic S dual surface winder. A system highlight is the newly launched OPTICOOL air ring, which was designed to drive higher output rates than can be achieved with dual air ring systems. This purchase marks McNeely Plastics' third investment in W&H technology, complementing the previous purchase of two three-layer Varex blown film lines.
