D.P.R. Labeling to Launch Digital Die-Cutter

SUNRISE, FL | D.P.R. Labeling announces the release of the Gemini digital die-cutter for sheet labels. Company says desktop-style cutter is capable of handling various types of material with different thicknesses, and sheet sizes such as A4, A3, Letter, Tabloid, and Tabloid Extra format. Being capable of cutting any shape and size, the Gemini is reported to be the ideal die-cutting solution for the print and packaging industry.

Pressure-sensitive stickers, decals, and labels can be cut with precision using camera-equipped technology. Heavy cutting may also be performed, company adds as the Gemini is able to cut postcard material ranging from 7.05–12.35 oz (200–350 gr), for applications such as tags, small boxes, packaging, and more.

Speed varies depending on the complexity of the outline, and on average runs 30-40 sec when cutting p-s materials, while for through-cutting the speed depends on thickness. The software manages files in both Adobe Illustrator and CorelDraw format.

“The versatility of this product is unmatched,” says Luca Bortolon, sales at D.P.R. Labeling. “The fact that it can be used in unison with any desktop printer gives it a very broad usage base. The second detail is that it can cut so many items based on the thickness of the material.…”

The Gemini will be introduced at Labelexpo Americas 2016, September 13–15, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, IL.
