Report: Boxboard Production Increases 3%

WASHINGTON, DC | According to the American Forest & Paper Assn.’s (AF&PA) June 2010 US Paperboard Report released on July 19th, total boxboard production increased by 3.0% compared to June 2009, but decreased 2.0% from last month. Year-to-date production was up 4.1% over 2009.

The report detailed monthly boxboard production on: Unbleached Kraft Folding; Solid Bleached Folding; Recycled Folding, and Inventory of Solid Bleached Kraft Paperboard.

AF&PA is the national trade association of the forest products industry, representing pulp, paper, packaging and wood products manufacturers, and forest landowners.
