An Unusual and Urgent Personal Request

Don’t think I’ve pulled the “personal” card many times asking anyone through any of my columns to honor a request. . . but I am this time. A dear friend of mine–and many of you as well–needs your help. Her name is Suzanne Zaccone of GSI Technologies LLC in Burr Ridge, IL. She has been an active member of the printing community as a converter, a past Tag & Label Mfrs. Inst. (TLMI) president, and advisory board president of DiTrolio Flexographic Inst. in Broadview, IL. She recently added to her list of accomplishments: published author of A Random Interruption and breast cancer victor. Now here comes the personal request. . .

Since her successful battle with breast cancer, Suzanne has dedicated herself to raising the awareness and funds needed to battle this disease. Currently she is in the running to receive a grant from Pepsi to fund fellowships at the University of Chicago, but in order for this grant to be awarded to her cause, she needs an army of people to vote for her idea.

To cut to the heart of the matter, click here EACH DAY through November 30 for quick access to the Pepsi Good Idea website, and find the “button” on the right side of the screen that says: “Vote for this idea.” You can also text daily to Pepsi at 73774 with the following numerical message: 104123

As a victor over breast cancer myself and metastatic melanoma, I can only say Thank You from the bottom of my heart.
