Battenfeld Sees Future in Restructuring

KOTTINGBRUNN, AUSTRIA | Battenfeld Kunststoffmaschinen, a manufacturer of plastic injection molding machines and factoy automation machines, submitted a request to open insolvency proceedings at the Regional Court Wiener Neustadt. This step has become necessary because a change in ownership had endangered the existence of the company. Management is making every effort to assist the liquidator appointed by the court in ensuring that the proceedings are dealt with quickly and that the company can be re-launched on a solid basis, possibly with new investors.

The corporate management of Battenfeld reportedly sees a good change of re-floating the company with the appropriate support of investors, bridging assistance from the Land Lower Austria, and the labor market service. The decisive factors will be success in regaining control over the service and spare parts service—which recently was spun off—and reducing the production costs by concentrating on the main product areas and increasing the company's nominated to assist Battenfeld with the restructuring measures.

Battenfeld's books are completely filled for the next three months. All sales orders will be fulfilled as agreed. See battenfeld-imt.com.
