Xaar Launches Inkjet System

CAMBRIDGE, UK | Xaar, inkjet technology specialist, announces the launch of the Print Bar System. This new system, which incorporates the company’s 1002 family of high-precision industrial printheads, adds single-pass inkjet capability to analog web- and sheet-fed presses.

System will be introduced at this week’s Labelexpo Europe, September 29-October 2, in Brussels, Belgium.

Company says users can take advantage of the benefits of digital printing easily and economically and deliver more creativity to their customers. In addition, the reliability provided by the 1002’s patented TF Technology reportedly sets this print bar apart from any others on the market.

The Print Bar System is said to be versatile, easy to configure, and ideal for personalized, variable data, special effects, and short-run printing for a range of applications, including labels and packaging. The 1002 printheads with TF Technology means the new system can handle a wide range of inks and fluids, including spot colors (K or CMY), protective lacquers, high-build spot varnish, heavily pigmented high-opacity under-surface whites, cold foil adhesives, metallics, etc. As a result, print providers now have the ability to add special effects and variable data digitally.

The system is a complete “ready-to-use system” featuring a choice of 1002 printheads (GS6, GS12, or GS40 depending on the application), an ink supply system, and full print management and workflow capabilities to ensure total control of the print process.

Available in a range of print widths from 70–560 mm, and single or dual configurations with standard print speeds to 75 mpm. System can be retro-fitted to existing analog presses, designed into new builds, or used as a stand-alone print solution. Also can be configured for higher speeds, higher laydown, or multi-process applications.
