Synergy for Flexo Success IPA and FTA Webinars

RONKONKOMA, NY, USA—The Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) and the International Prepress Association (IPA) report an agreement "whereby FTA becomes a 'promotional partner' in the flexo industry for IPA's on-line educational 'webinar' training programs."

According to FTA, for the last year, IPA has developed an ongoing curriculum of live, on-line training programs, primarily focused on the prepress and graphic communications industries. Says FTA president Mark Cisternino, "We believe these programs have a lot of synergy for our flexo printing and prepress members. We look forward to to partnering with the IPA in this endeavor, while working to develop programs specific to the flexo industry."

Adds Steve Bonoff, IPA president, "We have an excellent staff resource with our on-line training program producer, Dave Haradon, who is familiar with the flexo industry and understands the needs of this important printing market segment. Together with FTA, we hope to enhance the flexo industry's success by developing more targeted graphics and printing training programs for packaging professionals."

FTA adds Haradon currently is a member of the Foundation of FTA's board of trustees, chairs its Solicitations Committee, and has served as past chair of the Membership Committee and the 2002 FFTA Annual Forum.

FTA/IPA "webinars" will bring the latest business strategy and technical information to more people with in FTA on a highly cost-effective basis, says both Cisternino and Bonoff. "Companies that stand to benefit from this training methodology include creative, prepress, and printing establishments...of any size."

Upcoming IPA/FTA interactive webinars—offered in real-time and video recorded for later viewing by attendees and those not able to participate in the live events—include:
