Esko-Graphics Updates Packaging Label Applications Software

GENT, BELGIUM—Esko-Graphics announces version upgrades to a number of its packaging applications software. Updgrades include PackEdge 3.0, what the mfr. calls its "complete packaging workflow solution," as well as Plato 2.0, the plate layout and step-and-repeat solution for packaging and labels.

The company also reports it has introduced new software packages for those who wish to augment their workflow capabilities; these include BackStageEdit and PlatoEdit, which the company describes as client/server versions of respectively PackEdge and PlatoEdit, with identical sets of features, but with an optimized link to the workflow server BackStage.

Esko-Graphics says many of the upgrades support current industry standards and are the result of spending " a good deal of time listening to customers and providing additional functionality for our workflow systems with a clear focus toward customers' current and future pain points—industry compatibility and cost of ownership."
