Stora Enso to Sell Mill to Swedish Firm

HELSINKI, FINLAND -- Stora Enso recently annouced its selling its Mölndal mill to KLIPPAN AB, a Swedish listed specialty paper company. According to the company, this divestment is part of its fine paper division's asset restructuring program to concentrate investment in large, cost-efficient mills.

Stora Enso reports that while the company has been seeking a buyer with a product range matching the Mölndal mill's range of specialty papers, the buyer, KLIPPAN AB is considered an "ideal fit" for the operation's product range. The total value of the transaction, says the paper maker, is about EUR 25 million. The mill has approximately 400 employees, all of whom, says Stora Enso, will be transferred to the new owner.
