Chromas/Aquaflex Names New Biz Development Director

MONTREAL, QC, CANADA, USA—Chromas/Aquaflex reports the promotion of Chris Faust to director of business development. According to Chromas, Faust's promotion is one many company-wide managerial and operation changes implemented by Maher Hanna since his appointment to president/CEO of the company in May 2002.

"I selected [Chris] because of his uncommon [insight] into the printing industry," says Hanna. "Not only has he held positions at both the printer and press-manufacturer level, already he has led another major flexographic press manufacturer through the process of redefining its press lines, market message, and company presentation."

According to Chromas/Aquaflex, Faust's immediate goal is to define the company's product offerings and identify which of its press platforms best support its focus on printer profitability; he also indicates he plans to redefine the Chromas/Aquaflex market image and reputation. "For years, like most other press manufacturers, we built presses that printed well. Unfortunately, in this day and age, that does not differentiate us much from the others," he states. "Recently, we've incorporated a proven workflow system that reduces waste and optimizes human resources. That unique workflow is our defining difference."
