TLMI Prepares for Leadership Change

GLOUCESTER, MA | The Board of Directors at the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute (TLMI) announces that TLMI president Frank Sablone will be stepping down from his daily activities effective January 1, 2016.

The Board recently approved a succession plan that calls for a smooth transition of executive responsibility during 2016. The plan calls for a new president to be in place as of January 1, 2016. Sablone will remain during the transition period, working with his replacement and the Board until the end of 2016, at which time he will retire.

Washington, DC-based Vetted Solutions has been hired to lead the candidate search and will be working closely with the TLMI Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Search Committee throughout the search process.

Sablone was named president of TLMI in 1998, and TLMI reports the association has thrived under his leadership. Under Sablone’s direction the association has expanded its focus and industry reach at yearly Converter and Annual Meetings as well as at the biennial TLMI Technical Conference. During his tenure, the association has continued to sponsor Labelexpo Americas and has continued to grow and foster TLMI’s close relationship with the Tarsus Group. Dan Muenzer, TLMI Chairman, says, “On behalf of the Board, we are grateful for Frank Sablone’s leadership during a time of tremendous change in our industry. I have had the great pleasure of working with Frank and witnessing firsthand the way this association has grown and expanded throughout his tenure. We will continue to tap Frank’s expertise and guidance during the transition period until the end of 2016, and I am excited to continue building on the tremendous foundation Frank has put in place and to ensure TLMI remains the most member-driven and prominent association in our industry.”
