Ion Systems Slates Next Static Seminar for Early June

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT, USA—In order to educate web process engineers on the hazards of static electricity in hazardous areas, Ion Systems say it's hosting free seminars focusing on static neutralizing. According to the supplier, the next seminar is slated for June 7. Ion adds, due to strong interest at last month's CMM show, it is expanding the schedule to include more seminar dates througout the year.

Seminars include reviews of electrostatic hazards in coating operations in the atmosphere of flammable vapors; discussions about risk management; overviews of static neutralizers and related safety issues; and an overview of the latest edition of the NFPA 77 Static Electricity standard.

Ion Systems says attendees will get hands-on experience with Ion's new Virtual AC HL Type static neutralizing system as they observe the system operating on a continuous-loop web machine.
