HAMBURG, GERMANY—According to a Körber PaperLink release, the holding company will showcase two of its company's paper converting systems—from Wrapmatic and Pemco/SHM (Strachan Henshaw Machinery)—at the upcoming Asian Paper event (April 24–26, 2002, Singapore). "Wrapmatic, an Italian manufacturer of ream-wrapping equipment, is to launch a competitively priced, manually fed automatic folio ream wrapper—the GREC (Grand Risme Easy Compact)," reports the release dated today.
According to the mfr., the GREC has a production sheet speed of six reams/min and will wrap and palletize. "This versatile new market entry wrapper," adds the co., "processes paper and cartonboards and delivers palletized and and counted reams. Four machines already have been sold: two to the U.K., one to Italy, and one to Brazil."
Körber PaperLink also reports:
Since Pemco's acquisition of SHM's sheet converting machinery division in 2000, the 1450HS has undergone a substantial redesign. It now offers converters the very latest in sheeting technology.
A twin AC motor system now drives the 1450HS, giving sheet-length accuracy of better than plus-or-minus 0.5 mm. Automatic sheet length and squaring also is a standard feature, as is instant sheet length change via an operator-friendly touch screen.
The 1450HS is now available featuring dual "Synchro" rotary cutting head with a 1000 gsm capacity produced by sister company ECH. Will. It's also equipped with the ever-popular, traditional single "dead knife" rotary version, of which more than 600 are installed [worldwide].…
Both machines will be at Asian Paper at the Körber PaperLink booth, no. 2300. In addition, reports the co., the GREC will be presented at IPEX 2002, April 9–17, 2002, Birmingham, U.K.
