Green Bay Packaging Is Named Green Master—Again

 

GREEN BAY, WI | Green Bay Packaging Wisconsin operations were recognized as a Green Master for the fourth consecutive year at the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council Annual Conference Dec. 13, 2013. 

GBP, specifically its Wisconsin divisions, is one of a select group of companies to earn the Green Master designation, the highest tier in the Green Masters Program, established by the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council. As a Green Master, GBP performed actions in nine sustainability areas, including energy, water, waste, and social actions, and scored in the top 20% of all participating companies.

The WI Sustainable Business Council is a network of Wisconsin businesses and organizations that are actively involved, or just interested in, the challenge of sustainability and corporate responsibility. The council works to educate businesses and organizations in Wisconsin about sustainability and brings together companies with similar sustainability goals.

Started in 1933, Green Bay Packaging is a family-owned, vertically integrated company consisting of corrugated container plants, folding cartons, recycled and virgin linerboard mills, pressure-sensitive label rollstock, specialty converting operations, timberlands, and a sawmill facility.
