Show Preview | GRAPH EXPO 2016 Heads to Orlando

With a dozen specialty market segments covered, there is something for everyone to refresh their businesses.

GRAPH EXPO 2016 moves to the Orange County Convention Center–North in Orlando, FL, when it opens September 25-28. Show organizer Graphic Arts Show Co. (GASC), Reston, VA, promises problem-solving solutions to “refresh” your business with unique new applications.

A full spectrum of printing markets will be covered, including package printing and converting equipment, products, and services. Digital, offset, flexo, gravure, and hybrid printing products will be covered, as well as wide format inkjet presses.

Seminar Series

One day prior to the opening of the show will be the annual Executive Outlook Conference, held Sunday, September 25. “Finding New Markets” is the theme of this year’s event, sponsored by EFI and Xerox.

"EXECUTIVE OUTLOOK is one of the major annual events for leaders in the graphic communications industry," says GASC President Thayer Long. "This year's emphasis on finding new markets is especially timely in the face of today's ever diversifying industry."

Speakers include keynote presenter Doug Grant, president, Westamerica Communications; and Andrew Paparozzi, VP/chief economist at Epicomm, Also on the program are Nick Bruno, owner/president of Harris & Bruno Intl., who will offer his insights and experience on "Breaking Barriers: Doing Business Internationally," and Erica Walker, instructor at Clemson University, will discuss an "ROI Report: The Case for Offering Creative Services In-House."

On Tuesday, September 27, Robert Leahey, associate director of InfoTrends, is the schedule speaker for “Growth Market Update: Color Digital Printing and Packaging & Labels.” This seminar will cover labels, flexible packaging, folding cartons, and corrugated applications.

The conference will wrap-up with the annual announcements of the MUST SEE 'EMS "Best of Category" winners and "Legacy" awardee by Hal Hinderliter, principal at Hal Hinderliter Consulting Services.

Air Motion Systems (AMS) (Booth 2825) will showcase its LED UV curing systems for high-speed offset applications. 

CRON-ECRM (Booth 1201) will preview the three-in-one CTP solution that combines plate cassette input with precision imaging, punching, and transport. Showing the new Blackwood Emerald UV plate that minimizes the consumption of chemicals and water for UV exposed plates.

EFI (Booth 1349) will feature latest technology developments in wide and superside format inkjet, print workflow, and digital front end products. 

Estimator Corp. (Booth 1885) will exhibit Estimator Cloud, a dual non-template/template estimating and MIS program, which is affordable and easy to use. Accessible from any Mac PC, tablet, or smart phone.

Goss International (Booth 2731), co-exhibiting with partner company Presstek, will showcase its latest product innovations and also be celebrating its one-year anniversary under AIP ownership. Will provide details on the latest upgrades and enhancements for the M-600.

KBA North America (Booth 1435) will showcase the new KBA VariJET 106 folding carton press, integrating Xerox Impika inkjet technology, Also showing innovations in sheetfed packaging, KBA-Flexotecnica and flexible flexographic packaging, and the new CI flexo NEO XD LR hybrid press introduced at Drupa. Company’s entry into the post-press market with the Rapida 106 RDC rotary die-cutter and the acquisition of Iberica AG S.A., a large-format flatbed die-cutter manufacturer.

Mohawk (Booth 2413) will exhibit new specialty digital items including 17 new specialty digital products designed for dry toner digital presses and an expanded line of wide format inkjet products.

OnPrintShop (Booth 2278) is launching v5.3 of its Unified W2P Advanced B2B nCONNECT platform with new features and enhancements, including imposition module, print production management, corporate store profile and auto fill templates, Salesforce and LeadDyno Third Party integration, and online proofing for upload file.

Presstek LLC (Booth 2731) will showcase its latest product innovations and partnership successes. Company offers DI Digital Offset Printing presses. The Presstek 75DI continues the Presstek DI tradition of precise imaging, extreme automation, and a small environmental footprint. It employs waterless printing technology, on-press chemistry-free media imaging, fast run-up for minimal waste, and consistent quality from sheet to sheet and job to job. 

RadTech (Booth 3009) will have its UV+EB Technology magazine on display. 

Scodix (Booth 1037) will feature Scodix Foil  digital foiling station inline with the Scodix Ultra Pro. This configuration was awarded a Must See 'Em in the Postpress and In-Line Finishing category.

 

FUTURE SCHEDULING

Following this year's GRAPH EXPO event, the GASC-produced PRINT 17 exhibition and conference will return to McCormick Place South in Chicago, IL, Sept. 10-14, 2017.

GRAPH EXPO 18 is slated for September 30 to October 3, 2018, and will remain in Chicago's McCormick Place South.

Florida will again be the location when GRAPH EXPO 19, coming September 22 - 25, 2019, returns to Orlando, FL at the Orange County Convention Center-South.
