Show Preview | IADD•FSEA Odyssey 2015 Offers Show-and-Tell Clinics

Folding carton and corrugated converters will find equipment displays and educational opportunities in die-cutting, foil stamping, embossing, and more.

The Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center in suburban Chicago is a new location for IADD•FSEA Odyssey, a collaboration sponsored by the International Assn. of Diecutting and Diemaking (IADD), Crystal Lake, IL, and the Foil & Specialty Effects Assn. (FSEA), Topeka, KS. The 2015 event takes place May 13-15 and will focus on innovative processes, next-generation materials, and unique industry services.

The theme of this year's event is "Where Innovation and Tradition Converge." Attendees will find technical programs, 100+ exhibitors in the Technology Hall, practical solutions for cutting, foil stamping, and embossing, as well as networking opportunities.

Educational Program

More than a dozen educational presentations in a classroom setting are being offered in the mornings; attendees can choose among several tracks: Foil/Specialty Effects; Specialty; Corrugated; Folding Carton; and Multiple Disciplines.

Interactive presentations include “Challenge the Experts,” an opportunity to bring your die-making or die-cutting problems to the IADD TechTeam, which will offer advice and solutions for your difficult challenges. In the “Stump the Techs” sessions, experts will offer solutions to your foil stamping and embossing problems.

In a session entitled "Diecutting Myths Debunked," presenters will cover a variety of topics, including matrix calculations for all types of board, ejection rubber properties, and proper use of C Profile. "Finishing Options for the World of Digital Printing" is a panel discussion that will explore digital decorating and finishing techniques.

In a special section of the show floor, Odyssey will hold “Techshops,” in which participants are seated inside a working shop floor.
