Cerm Offers Software Solution in Modules

LIER, BELGIUM | Cerm, a supplier of business management software for narrow web printers, offers software modules said to go beyond MIS to provide a complete business management and automation solution. The new product was part of the integrated end-to-end digital production solutions presented at the recent Xeikon Café Packaging Innovations 2017.

At the event, the company highlighted its Web4Labels, an all-in-one digital shopfront module for online quoting and managing of assets.

“Our aim at the Xeikon Café was to get printers thinking about the digital print shop of the future that will be driven by a fully integrated and automated workflow,” says Peter Dhondt, Cerm global head of sales. “A key strength of Cerm’s end-to-end business management and automation solution is that it covers the entire value chain from brand owner and design to production. The Xeikon-Cerm partnership of a bidirectional integration between Cerm and the X800 digital front end of Xeikon has clearly proven the positive impact of collaboration.”

Cerm offers eight modules, each supporting a different step of the entire integrated workflow—from estimating to shop floor data collection to invoicing. The modules are segmented into three product categories of shopfront, a critical resource that lets sales people and end-customers order labels and quickly obtain accurate quotes remotely; shopfloor, delivering insight into operations, including capacity and utilization per machine and how they can be optimized to reduce change-over times; and backoffice, providing insight into operations, including capacity and utilization per machine and how they can be optimized to reduce change-over times.
