Former Mark Andy VP Dale Bunnell Named R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award Winner

PRESS RELEASE

SAINT LOUIS, MO, USA — Mark Andy reports its former VP of business development Dale Bunnell has been recognized with one of the narrow web converting industry's most prestigious honors; Bunnell recently was named the R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award winner.

States Mark Andy of its former VP's industry reconition:

Taking great pride in having witnessed the flexo industry transform itself into a legitimate high-quality process printing solution, Bunnell was in fact instrumental in the introduction of one of its most revolutionary techniques.

In the late 1980s, Bunnell encouraged Mark Andy’s engineering staff to develop an easily accessible inking system that would make press cleanup easier and reduce make-ready time.

The technology evolved into Mark Andy’s revolutionary "QC," quick-change print station, a system that today is considered a standard component on most flexo presses.

An active member of numerous industry associations, including the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA), the Tag & Label Manufacturers Institute (TLMI), and FINAT (the international organization that exists to promote the interests of self-adhesive labeling), Bunnell was a co-founder and one-time chairman of the World Label Association, an organization that cooperates with FINAT, TLMI, and the Japanese Federation of Label Printers.

Adds Mark Andy president Paul Brauss, "Mark Andy is proud to have had such a forward-thinking and prominent industry figure as a part of its flexo family for more than 25 years. He is an industry leader whose dedication has impacted on the success of many suppliers worldwide. We are honored by his selection for this accolade."
