Lamart Awarded Boeing Aircraft Contract

CLIFTON, NJ—Lamart Corp. has received approval from Boeing to be the exclusive supplier of APK covering films for aircraft thermal and acoustic insulation systems for the new Boeing 787. Boeing chose Lamart's APK line of covering films because it offers 100# weight savings per aircraft, which translates into lower operating costs for airline operators. According to David A. Shields, Lamart's new business development director, Lamart's APK films, developed from a PEKK polymer that had not been extruded previously as a thin film, totally satisfies the FAA's low weight application requirements.
