IST America to Highlight FREEcure Technology at PSTC Tape Week

IST America (ISTA) will participate in PSTC Tape Week 2026, taking place May 4 - 7, 2026 at the Omni Louisville Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky.
IST America (ISTA), the North American division of global UV and LED light-curing leader IST Metz, will participate in PSTC Tape Week 2026, taking place May 4 - 7, 2026 at the Omni Louisville Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky. During the event, IST America will exhibit in the Tape Week Showcase and present on its innovative FREEcure technology.
Tape Week is PSTC’s premier event for the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape industry, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, and industry experts to explore new technologies, emerging applications, and the trends shaping the future of tape and adhesive markets. The event’s Showcase is designed to encourage meaningful conversations and direct engagement around innovation and technical advancement.
At this year’s event, Mark VandenBosch, Technical Sales Specialist – Web & Converting, IST America, will present Eliminating Photoinitiators in UV Curing which will discuss IST’s breakthrough curing technology, FREEcure, that enables UV direct crosslinking without photoinitiators. Developed to address evolving performance, environmental, and regulatory demands, FREEcure opens new possibilities for adhesive, coating, and printing applications where traditional photoinitiator-based systems can present limitations.
FREEcure is designed to increase performance in the critical UVC spectral range, allowing direct activation of acrylate double bonds and efficient curing without the need for added photoinitiators. This makes it especially relevant for applications where reducing potential odor, migration, and formulation complexity is increasingly important.
