Trioworld Launches “Policy to Practice” Webinar Series to Help Businesses Translate Packaging Regulation into Practical Actions

First session on March 24, 2026 covers EU PPWR implications for transport packaging, reuse targets, and operational considerations for PCR and recyclability.

On the 24th of February, 2026 Trioworld announced the launch of “Policy to Practice,” a new global webinar series designed to help packaging, operations, procurement, and sustainability teams translate fast-moving packaging regulation into practical, real-world actions across supply chains.

Packaging regulation is increasingly shaping packaging specifications, supplier requirements, procurement decisions, and logistics design—especially for organizations that sell into the European Union or supply customers who do. “Policy to Practice” is built to cut through complexity and provide clear, usable guidance as requirements evolve.

“Regulation is moving quickly, and many teams are being asked to make operational and purchasing decisions before all details are finalized,” said Lynne Elliott, Host of the series at Trioworld. “With Policy to Practice, we’re turning what’s written in regulation into what businesses can actually do—on the line, in the warehouse, and across the supply chain.”

First webinar: PPWR and transport packaging, March 24

The first session provides an overview of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) as it relates to transport packaging, with a focus on the risk and implications of reuse targets for palletized transport. The discussion will also touch on how businesses should think about PCR and recyclability requirements in ways that hold up operationally.

Participants can expect:

  • A clear view of what’s changing in the EU under PPWR
  • What’s changing around reuse—and what it means specifically for transport packaging
  • What the evidence indicates about practical impacts
  • Actions companies can take now, including how to approach recyclability and PCR in real operations

Featured speakers

The March 24 session features perspectives spanning policy, evidence, and practical readiness:

  • Lena Lundberg, Public Affairs and Regulatory Director, Trioworld — PPWR in plain language and implications for transport packaging and supply chains
  • Benedikt Kauertz, Scientific Director and Head of Department Industry and Products, ifeu — high-level overview of LCA findings and operational realities, including feasibility and load safety considerations
  • Crystal Bayliss, Interim Executive Director (Director, Strategy and Engagement), US Plastics Pact — connecting EU developments to North American readiness questions and cross-border supply chain implications
  • Technical Training and Product Specialist, Trioworld— operational considerations and practical steps for adopting PCR in transport packaging
