Meech Brings Next-Generation Perforation Detection and Web Cleaning Solutions to Pack Expo East 2026

Meech USA will showcase a range of static control, contamination removal and inspection technologies at Pack Expo East 2026 in Philadelphia, 17-19 February. Exhibiting at Booth #305, the company will highlight solutions designed to help converters and packaging manufacturers improve product quality, process efficiency and yield across both web and downstream packaging operations.
Among the key technologies on display is a preview of Meech’s new Hyperion 994CPD Compact Perforation Detector. Developed in direct response to industry demand, the soon-to-launch 994CPD uses Automated Baseline Current Detection (ABCD) to accurately detect perforations in real time. Typical applications include counting tear‑off perforations on bags and identifying packaging defects. Powered by 24VDC for easy integration with most industrial systems, the 994CPD detects perforations without contacting the material, eliminating the risk of damage even at high line speeds. This sparkless, non-contact capability is particularly important for delicate films, hygienic products and medical‑grade materials that must remain sterile.
Meech also will feature its CyClean™ non-contact web cleaning system, engineered to address contamination challenges in converting and labelling. Using advanced computational fluid dynamics, CyClean removes loose, dry debris from the web surface without touching the substrate, extracting unbonded particles down to 0.5 micron. The system helps manufacturers protect delicate coatings, maintain high line speeds and reduce waste.

In addition, Meech will highlight growing demand for 3D component cleaning solutions for caps, closures and shaped packaging. As brands move toward higher hygiene standards, lightweighting and increased recycled content, surface contamination has become a greater concern. Meech is seeing strong uptake of technologies such as CyClean, ionised air and waterless rinsing, particularly in bottling operations where effective cap cleaning is critical.
“As hygiene expectations rise, packaging materials evolve and line speeds increase, a lot of the conversations we’re having with converters now are about product quality challenges that weren’t an issue five or ten years ago,” said Kevin Lipely, sales manager at Meech USA. “Pack Expo East gives us a chance to show how Meech technology can help converters can stay ahead of rising static and contamination risks, and reduce downtime, scrap and lost productivity.”
