• Mike Engle (FLEXcon Co.), president of the Assn. of Industrial Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators, Fort Mill, SC, bestowed Dr. Robert Bakish of Bakish Material Corp. with the association's coveted President's Award in recognition of meritorious service to AIMCAL and the converting industry as a whole.

• Martin Automatic, Rockford, IL, appoints Gavin Rittmeyer VP of sales and marketing. He replaces David Wright, who retired in October after 31 years with the company.

• Printing Industries of America, Sewickley, PA, reports the Graphic Imaging Technology program at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center in Brecksville, OH, is the recipient of the Ben Franklin Honor Society's 2009 Frederick D. Kagy Education Award. The award will be presented to program instructor Bell Delgado.

• Stork Cellramic, Milwaukee, WI, appoints two sales managers. Bobbi Olp is regional sales manager responsible for anilox sales in the Midwest and West Coast. Timothy Justice is national sales manager?Americas, responsible for anilox and engineeered coatings sales in North and South America.

• ECRM, Tewksbury, MA, appoints Dave Connor VP of engineering. He replaces Mike Zembko, who is retiring.

• Smurfit-Stone Container Corp., Creve Coeur, MO, appoints Michael Exner senior VP and general manager of the company's Containerboard Mill division.

• Pamarco Global Graphics, Atlanta, GA, appoints ALHU Intl., El Paso, TX, as its technical sales representative in Texas and New Mexico. The account will be handled by Dax Hughes and Brad Hughes.

• Mark Andy and Comco, St. Louis, MO, realign sales territories as follows: Jerry Henson assumes responsibility for Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and the Carolinas. Michael Schneider will cover Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. Ralph Boer adds Arizona and Utah to his territory of California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Brtish Columbia. Chip Costello adds Illinois to his states of Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Joe Hamway continues to cover the northeast, while Canflexographics remains distributor in Canada except for British Columbia.

• McDowell Label & Screen Printing, Plano, TX, appoints Mark Williams to sales manager.

• Dr. Bernhard Müller is the new managing director of Goebel Schneid-und Wickelsysteme GmbH, Darmstadt, Germany. He replaces Heinz Jung, who resigned from the board of directors following a 40-year career at Goebel.

• Glenroy, Menomonee Falls, WI, promotes Geoff Van Eimeren to western regional manager to service customers on the West Coast.

• Theresa (Terri) Ann McConnell died October 11 following a five-month battle with cancer. Well known for her many contributions to the packaging and graphic arts industry, her most recent endeavor was director of business and brand strategy at Gravity, a div. of Phototype, Cincinnati, OH.
