BW Converting to Demonstrate Baldwin EPIC™ System at The Battery Show North America 2025

BW Converting will showcase its Baldwin Electrode Press Industrial Cleaning (EPIC™) System at The Battery Show North America, taking place Oct. 6–9, 2025, at Huntington Place in Detroit. The event will give battery manufacturers the opportunity to see how EPIC streamlines electrode calendering and supports consistent, high-quality cell production.

The EPIC System is the first fully automated in-line calender roll cleaner developed for advanced battery manufacturing. By eliminating manual roller cleaning, EPIC is a proven solution that reduces downtime, improves process stability and minimizes operator exposure to heat and chemicals.

Running at process temperatures of up to 150°C (302°F), EPIC cleans without cooling or stopping the production process. Rollers can be cleaned in just two to four minutes, compared to up to 45 minutes for anodes and several hours for cathodes using conventional methods.
