Graftalia and Converflex Europe Boast More Space, Market Upturn

MILAN, ITALY—Graftalia and Converflex 2006 will take place May 9-13, 2006, at the Fiera Milano exhibition complex in Rho-Pero. As of January 10, already 710 companies have signed up to exhibit, 37% of which are from abroad.

The liveliness of the graphics and converting industry in Italy has been highlighted by the market trend analysis promoted every year by Centrexpo, the organizer or Grafitalia and Converflex Europe, together with Assografici and carried out by Bocconi University (the most prestigious Italian Institute of Economics). After the hardship of 2005, technology end users are experiencing significant upturn signals, which will soon turn the trend around.

The leading industry of this recovery is graphic arts for advertising and promotion, which is expected to grow as much as 2% in the course of the year. Besides Grafitalia and Converflex Europe, there is a strong interest on the exhibitors’ side for the fourth edition of Orizzonte Carta, a specialized area promoted by Assocarta, with features in common with both exhibitions.
