Acucote Offers New Service and Adhesives
- Published: August 29, 2012
GRAHAM, NC | Acucote, supplier of self-adhesive goods and services, has launched the Custom Unlimited roll program, which allows customers to purchase customized pressure-sensitive products at 9.5 in. x 2,500 ft. The line is an alternative to the required purchase of master widths to fulfill short-run and custom orders. Customers are able to purchase single or multiple rolls with a lead time of five to seven business days.
The company also announces the Performance Adhesive line, said to provide durability beyond traditional water-based systems.
The AC903, AC905, and AC908 adhesives can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces. AC903 is designed for high chemical resistance and high-heat applications. AC905 is designed for ultra low-temperature applications and offers features said to increase tack and peel strength of lower temperatures.
AC908, designed for use where plasticizer migration could be an issue, has specific adhesion to polyester-based, powder-coated paints and can be used for surfaces that have a thin film of processing oil. It is said to be a good fit for medium surface energy substrates and exhibits a high amount of edge ooze resistance. Polyester and vinyl facestocks and bleached kraft and clay-coated supercalendered liners are recommended for this line.
