Valmet Sells First Sheeter in Spain

BEDFORDSHIRE, U.K.—Valmet Converting reports it has sold its first sheeter in Spain to the converting company Proembasa. According to the converting equipment manufacturer, the sheeter was sold against strong local competition and other leading European sheeter manufacturers.

Located close to Barcelona, 1979-established Proembasa is a privately owned company that specializes in converting a wide range of high-quality board and paper for stationery, graphic arts, and cellular carton for fruit packaging and honeycomb filling for partioning construction, says Valmet.

Says Sr. Ramon Albareda, managing director at Proembasa, "I have visited other various sheeter manufacturers to compare the quality, performance, and prices prior to making the decision to purchase the new equipment from Valmet. One other important factor in favor of Valmet was the promise of technical support provided by the Valment 24/7 customer service facility."
