ITASA Celebrates Major Capacity Enhancement at Graph Expo

UNITED KINGDOM—At Labelexpo Europe, ITASA, independent commercial specialist producers of release liners, celebrated a major &8364;16 million investment in new equipment at their plant in northwestern Spain. A new custom-built, state-of-the-art coater, now coming on-stream, nearly double the company's current capacity.

Customers in the labelstock, specialty tape, and medical disposables businesses will be able to benefit from this dramatically-improved capacity, and from an even wider Itasa portfolio of capabilities that includes siliconised papers (including thermal-sensitive)—glassines, krafts, PE coateds, clay coateds, C1S and C2S—and films, with equal or differential release characteristics. At 2.3 meters wide, the new BMB coater is matched to current and future market requirements, and has a number of advanced features.
