CreoScitex and DuPont Promote Proofing

BEDFORD, MA, USA —CreoScitex and DuPont say together, they now offer customers a complete proofing system. According to CreoScitex, the companies have established a worldwide, strategic alliance "to promote and enhance thermal halftone proofing systems based on DuPont WaterProof thermal halftone proofing media for CreoScitex CTP (computer-to-plate) proofing systems." Adds the co., "This relationship enables two industry-leading companies to offer a complete solution…, including consumables and either a Proofsetter Spectrum digital halftone proofing device or a Spectrum digital halftone proofing option for CreoScitex CTP devices."

Says CreoScitex Corp. VP, imaging and media, Eyal Shpilberg, "Customers will benefit in that we are making the procurement process more efficient by combining equipment and media in a single package."

In other CreoScitex news…
According to the company, it will move production of its Iris proofing products from Billerica, MA, USA, to Vancouver, BC, Canada, over the next year. Customer support and engineering (for Iris products) also will move to the Vancouver area. The company reports there will be no interruption in manufacturing, product supply, or customer service.
