Investment in Flexo Training Pays Off

CHICAGO, IL | DiTrolio Flexographic Inst., Inc., (DFI) reports the successful placement of its students in rewarding employment opportunities. As proof, it cites the first-hand experience of Valentino Oquendo, who earned the distinction of DiTrolio Flexographic Inst. Alumni of the Month after successfully graduating from the Flexo 101 program and obtaining employment in the same week.

Oquendo was hired by a local Chicago printing company in January for full-time employment with potentially unlimited possibilities. DFI assisted Oquendo with grant funding through the President’s Office of Employment & Training, starting in June 2009. Upon completion of the program and seeking employment, his efforts were rewarded with the new position.

The Institute reports it was founded to meet the flexographic industry’s need for quality off-site training to counter the problems of on-the-job training, wasted production and equipment time, wasted raw materials, and inconsistent skill sets. DFI offers industry-specific training seminars for all skill levels–from beginning press operations to advanced printing applications–and features a state-the-art environment where new press operators and seasoned industry professionals alike can gain hands-on exposure to printing and finishing processes. DFI is approved by both the Illinois State Board of Education and the Illinois Dept. of Veterans’ Affairs.
