SOFTAL Changes Hands

HAMBURG, GERMANY | Effective as of November 16, 2009, all fixed and non-fixed equipment and manufacturing resources, as well as trademark, industrial property rights and complete entity of the insolvent company SOFTAL electronic Erik Blumenfeld GmbH & Co. KG with headquarters in Hamburg will be transferred to SOFTAL Corona and Plasma GmbH.

The owner of the new SOFTAL GmbH is the company AFS Entwicklungs + Vertriebs GmbH with headquarters in Horgau near Augsburg in Germany. Both companies have manufactured equipment specifically designed to modify the surfaces of materials in order to increase their adhesion properties.

The new SOFTAL GmbH will take over a large number of employees from the insolvent company, and the company headquarters in Hamburg will remain in use, together with the well-established product range.
