FVTC Students Win MetalFX Award

Students at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wisconsin, recently won the 2007 award for Best Use of MetalFX in Education. The presentation by MetalFX was part of their 2007 International Printer and Design Agency of the Year Awards competition. The Fox Valley Technical College Student team was one of only two winners in the United States. The Best Use of MetalFX in Education award was granted for a 2008 calendar entitled Printing with Metal. The calendar employed silver metallic ink to produce striking images for each month.

Fox Valley Technical College instructor Dale Drake commented: “Our students are proud of their showing in this international competition, and are pleased that their talents were recognized. Fox Valley Technical College is confident that the next generation of printing workers, now being trained, will carry on the tradition of this dynamic industry.”
