Food Packaging Law Seminar

Keller and Heckman LLP has scheduled its 7th Annual Food Packaging Law seminar, "What You Need to Know About U.S. and EU Food Packaging Regulations," for October 11-12, 2006, in Washington, DC. The two-day program is targeted to regulatory, scientific, and legal professionals in the food industry and is designed to cover the latest food packaging regulations, including an EU REACH update.

The program will feature Dr. Mitchell Cheeseman, associate director, Office of Food Additive Safety for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, who will update attendees on food packaging issues within the FDA. Dr. Rinus Rijk, Keller and Heckman senior scientist and expert advisor to the European Food Safety Authority’s Working Group on Food Contact Materials, also will provide an overview of the EU petition process, including a discussion of the analytical and toxicity data required for a petition.
