IoPP Introduces Environmental Electronics Packaging Certificate

PRESS RELEASE

NAPERVILLE, IL—"Environmental Electronics Packaging" is a new self-study certificate program now offered by the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) to help participants gain improved positioning by learning how to reduce material and shipping costs and environmental risks. It is designed for anyone involved in electronics or other packaging disciplines wanting to increase their knowledge and value to their employer or customer base by helping to reduce packaging's potentially negative impact on the environment.

To receive the certificate, participants must take an exam that is based on the book "Environmental Packaging Guideline for the Electronics Industry," available at iopp.org/store. The book contains 178 pages of pertinent information as well as necessary material that will help packaging professionals become more environmentally conscious. The exam is offered six times in 2006: July17, August 14, September 18, October 9, November 13, and December 11. The exam is mailed to participants and they have approximately one week to complete and send it back to IoPP National for grading.
