PMMI Announces New Awards Program, Calls for Entries

PRESS RELEASE

ARLINGTON, VA—The Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI) has launched a new awards program to be unveiled at PACK EXPO International 2006: PACK EXPO Selects, where attendees vote for the most innovative package. During the show, attendees who visit the Showcase of Packaging Innovations will select their choice for the most innovative and interesting package on display using their My PACK EXPO attendee portal during the full run of the show, being held October 29-November 2, 2006, in Chicago's McCormick Place. The results of the voting will be published after the close of the show.

“This is a chance for the packaging community to decide what THEY believe is the most innovative commercial package designed, developed and produced by PACK EXPO exhibitors,” notes Charles D. Yuska, president, PMMI. “PACK EXPO Selects is a ‘people’s choice’ award for packaging innovation that highlights the often unrecognized contributions of the 'behind the scenes' packaging developers, designers and engineers responsible for delivering innovation.”
