PLGA Request Entries for 2005 Technical Achievement Awards

PRESS RELEASE

NEW MADISON, OH—The Packaging & Label Gravure Assn. announces a request for entries for the 2005 Technical Achievement Awards for Suppliers to the Gravure Industry for Packaging and Labels. The awards program recognizes new or significantly improved products that will enhance the industry’s position relative to other print technologies.

Entries for each of the three areas—Prepress, Pressroom, and Support Systems—will be judged using five equally weighted criteria: innovation, affordability, operating cost savings, quality improvement, and safety and/or environmental impact.

All entries must be commercially viable in 2005 and the entry forms must be received no later than September 1, 2005. Each submission must include a photo and/or graphic representation along with a description of the product and its features and benefits no less than 50 and no more than 500 words. Each entry application must provide information about the benefits to the user (i.e. ROI, percent quality improvement, scrap reduction, EVA, or other quantitative measurements). Winners will be announced at PLGA’s October 2005 Technical Conference in Charlotte, NC.
