Bosch Rexroth AG Acquires Oil Control Group, Invests in China

PRESS RELEASE

LOHR, GERMANY—Bosch Rexroth has acquired the majority of shares in Oil Control Group S.p.A., Milan, Italy, a manufacturer of hydraulic cartridge valves and minifolds.

"Acquiring the Oil Control Group further expands our position in the fast-growing compact hydraulics market," says Manfred Grundke, president of Bosch Rexroth AG. "In the future, we will be able to offer our customers a wider range of Bosch Rexroth cartridge valve and manifold solutions for both the mobile and industrial hydraulic markets."

According to Wolfgang Dangel, President and CEO in the U.S., the acquisition helps Bosch Rexroth round out its product line. "To date we did not have a complete cartridge valve product line," he says.

Additonally, over the next three years, Bosch Rexrother AG will invest 83 million euros to expand its production capacities in China, beginning with the construction of new factories in Beijing and Wujin.

Already in China Bosch Rexrother has two production sites, two logistics centers, and six regional offices. The company has sales offices in Dalian, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong. China is the fourth largest foreign market for Bosch Rexroth AG after the US, Italy, and France.
